Employee Wellness

WRPS has a full-time dedicated wellness coordinator who is a certified health fitness instructor and nutrition specialist. A voluntary stretching program offered several times a day helps employees prevent injuries. Nutrition, disease information, and pain and injury management programs have been established, and fitness equipment has been installed in six locations to encourage a healthy, active lifestyle.

A stress management program including yoga, meditation, and relaxation techniques has been implemented to teach employees how to decrease stress and anxiety while on and off the job. Additionally, special interest initiatives have been incorporated to increase employee safety including proper lifting training, office and field ergonomics training, and core strengthening.
